In the spring of 2026, my friend Jonas Fellenstein invited me to join him on a month-long roadtrip through the southern half of the Japanese archipelago. Fueled by nothing but konbinis and a full tank of petrol, we drove around aimlessly, letting the Sakura blooms dictate our path, following them as they hit full bloom across the island
