Mongolia 2026

In the winter of 2025-2026, I joined a team of researchers, trackers, and herders in search for cats. Together, we braved temps as low as -50c while climbing 4000m tall peaks, and sat in hides for days at a time, hoping to catch a glimpse of the irves and manul (snow leopard and Pallas' cat). While ultimately not too successful, this astounding landscape surprised us at every corner.
