Norway 2025

In the winter of 2024-2025, I spent a month in northern Norway watching the sun return, marking the end of the polar night. While the goal was to chase auroras and make use of the solar maximum, the clouds had other plans, so mine had to change. As I drove, sailed, and hiked through the endless fjords and mountains, this astounding slice of land brought itself to life. With blue and golden hours that stretch on for what seems like forever, the lighting at this time of year is simply splendid - even if they weren't the skyward greens and reds I was searching for.
